“It is a sheer waste of time and soul-power to imagine what
I would do if things were different. They are not different.”
-Frank Crane
Working on Marie. The writing has not been terribly easy lately. Tough things are happening to poor Marie. I feel sadistic sometimes…the more I love a character, the more hell I seem to put them through.
“If you believe in what you are doing, then let nothing hold
you up in your work. Much of the best work of the world has been
done against seeming impossibilities. The thing is to get the
work done.” -Dale Carnegie
I’m doing several things at once. Write Marie, read e-mail, write LJ… Which is why two quotes have found themselves inserted into this entry and only 335 words have been added to Marie.
“You can’t count on your eyes when your imagination is out
of focus.” -Mark Twain
That’s a good one too.
I’ve been looking at some writing by a thirteen year old. It’s not bad…for a thirteen year old. She thinks it will be publishable. She has a long, long row to hoe and doesn’t realize it yet.
My back is much better today. I’ll probably go play disc tonight though I would like to take it easy with the running.
It’s warm today. Clouds rolled in last night, but all they brought was some humidity.
