The weekend, and that includes Monday, reaped no writing done, no exercise, and probably several poor food choices. It did have lots of gaming and lots of EverQuest. I did finish most of my Christmas cards, all of the Christmas shopping for my family, and we did half the book shopping for the young’uns. Not the half that needs to be mailed, but one can’t have everything.

Signed up for Netflix over the weekend. I’m generally disappointed with how poor Blockbuster’s stock is. And at our ghetto Blockbuster, fellow patrons seem to enjoy shuffling titles around. We’ll see how it goes. To be delivered today are Episode III (which Eric hasn’t seen) and Onegin (which, yeah, like our ghetto Blockbuster is going to carry that…).

Twenty-two notecards left.

The apartment is a mess. Filing and bill-paying need to be done.

And thus is Monday. Oh wait, it’s Tuesday…

  1. Blockbuster’s online video rental is much better than the local stores. For like $15/month you can have up to 3 rentals out at once, and I’ve never had a problem getting what I want. Also, and this is the cool part, they give you two coupons a month to rent whatever you want in the store. I like renting video games which are usually $7, so if I use the two coupons on games I’ve almost made that money back. Or if there’s a night when you just want to rent a movie but don’t want to wait, you can use it on that.

They also give other coupons, some give you free movies with no purchase, others are buy one get one free on previously viewed.

  2. refresh my memory?

I did a drive-by through the school listing and noticed we were both at BHS at the same time. Can you help me-did we know each other?

Well, I was Katherine Miller then. Short. Chubby. Curly, tragically uncool red hair. A schooly; in Academic Decathlon, Chess Club and ROTC. And yourself?

Aha! I knew I knew you from AD….Melissa Penkrot then. Sort of a little of everything:Academic Decathalon, Soccer, Marching Band (poms for a year but had to drop out)-loved band though (still do).

I had to chuckle that you are right now where I attended a year of college. I *loved* Tempe!

The first year I lived in Tempe, I hated it. I had just come from living in Lincoln, which I love dearly. But every year, I’ve come to like Tempe and Arizona better.
