Reworked the first scene/chapter this morning.  Bye-bye 500 words.  Good after a rereading though.  Cleaned up and made a few jugs of tea this morning before Trish picked me up.  That was about it.

Babysitting went well.  Hailey and Hannah were pretty well behaved until about 4:30.  Hannah watched a good bit of random cartoons and Hailey and I did “arts and crafts.”  I used more glue and popsicle sticks today than I had in my entire life previously.  Then they started getting rowdy.  It all starts when Hailey decides to break the three of us into teams…Hannah being alone on a team.  Which, understandably, doesn’t sit well with Hannah.  I simply said that if we couldn’t play together we couldn’t play at all, and  that worked well enough.

Still, the interaction  leaves me liking my life all the more.  Life is *quiet*.  Trish was worried that she wouldn’t get me home in time to get dinner ready for Eric.  I didn’t have the heart to tell her that dinner was never ready for Eric.  Dinner is a thing negotiated and decided on together.  Happily, our expectations of each other are in sync.

Unfortunately, I was not able to get home in time for Jeff’s conditioning workout.  Hope we’ll have enough people for disc tomorrow.

In the background I’ve been watching the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie.  I remember seeing it in Lincoln when I lived in the house with Tania and Kelly and Ann.  I remember Mary and I explaining things every five minutes to my housemates.  But I didn’t remember the movie itself,  Yeah, there’s a reason for that…

Now for restructuring scene/chapter two…
