So,
my computer is officially kaput.  Eric is under the impression that when the power supply took leave, it took the motherboard with it.  My hard drive is just fine though and now installed on this computer.  We are, at the moment, weighing our further options.  The decision is made hairy by the possibility of Eric’s disc team going to Nationals in Florida in late October.  That would be a chunk of change and would mostly eliminate the possibility of a laptop.  It might also put off building a replacement (for cheap!) until next year.  But Eric’s looking for good deals and I wouldn’t mind getting back to my beautiful desk in the front room some time soon.  But Florida…  *sigh*
