In response to comments made by the vice-president of SFWA, author Jo Walton declared today to be International Pixel-Stained Technopeasant Day. The point is to promote ourselves as writers by offering up some free fiction for the good readers of the world with hopes that maybe a reader or two will later purchase our works. I’m neither a member of SFWA nor a published author, but I am happily pixel-stained. Here’s my contribution to Pixel-Stained Technopeasant Day: “Maids” and “Pas de Chat.” Both short stories are available as PDFs on my webpage (http://members.cox.net/katherinenabity/writing.htm).
