The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 8th and runs through Sunday, January 14th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 21 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
Too bad Bout of Books wasn’t last week. I was sick (just an annoying cold), but I got so much reading done! This week is going to be catchup, but hopefully I’ll still manage to read and have a little BoB fun.

Number of Pages Today: 52
Number of Pages Total: 52
Notes: Good day. I did miss the Twitter chat because I was all worn out after going to dinner with my husband.
Challenges: #inSixWords
Thanks so much for participating in the Frankenslam! challenge. 🙂 I’ve read 1.5 of Plutarch’s lives so far. Perseus and part of Romulus. I did download an e-copy of Werther, though I have a hard copy too, I want to make notes and highlight stuff this time around. Paradise Lost is what scares me most…
Paradise Lost will be a reread for me. I would suggest buying a cheap physical copy and marking where sentences end–very helpful for navigating Milton.
Good luck for Bout of Books. You’re reading so much! Also, good luck with your goal of reading 52 books this year. I really hope you can do it. I didn’t know about FrankenSlam. I think I’ll take a look since Frankenstein will be my one of my next reads.
Happy readings! 😉
