It’s Monday, What Are You… 3/5

…Reading?

I’m not off to a great start for the month. I’ve DNFed two books in a row. Maybe I’m just grumpy or in a picky mood…

The Three-Body Problem (Remembrance of Earth’s Past, #1) The Nutcracker and the Mouse King
  • The Three-Body Problem by Liu Cixin – I know this is currently a favorite for a lot of readers, but I’m already on the fence about it.
  • The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by E. T. A. Hoffmann – Christmas in March? Sure. Hoffmann is weird enough that I probably won’t notice.
  • Short stories including “Pythias” by Frederik Pohl (for DMI), “The Adventure of the Reigate Puzzle” by Arthur Conan Doyle and “The Mullenville Mystery” which might be by Julian Hawthorne.

…Doing?

I’m a bit behind today. The end of last week was slow. Then Eric and I spent Saturday/Sunday house/niece sitting, so the weekend was somewhat truncated. And I decided we should go out to dinner today. The Thirsty Lion has its St. Patrick’s Day menu going on; I had the cornbeef mac & cheese. Tasty, but a slight time investment.
