Reading Notes, 2/1/21

Finished Reading

I did not finish reading Dune as I intended. I wasn’t too much in a reading mood. I did read Dune, just not enough to finish it. In addition to my Deal Me In story, I also read two short stories from The Belgravia Annual, 1868. Neither was particularly good, including “Found in the Muniment Chest” by Mary Elizabeth Braddon. It’s a non-creep Braddon story, but also *very* repetitive.

Deal Me In

4♦️: “Housebound” by Ao-Hui Lin
I don’t know which annoyed me more: the husband in this story who seems willfully ignorant about what is eating his house, or the wife who puts up with him. *How* did she end up with this guy?!
