Deal Me In 2018

20140105-160356 Hosted by Jay @ Bibliophilopolis

What is the goal of the challenge?

To read 52 short stories in 2018 (that’s only one per week)

What is the purpose?

To have FUN and to be exposed to new authors and stories and maybe get in the habit of reading a short story a week. Isn’t that enough?

What do I need?

1) Access to at least fifty-two short stories
2) A deck of cards
3) An average of perhaps as little as just thirty minutes of reading time each week

I bookmark a lot of short stories that I really mean to get back to, but then never do. For 2018, instead of anthologies off my shelf, I’m going to clear out my short story tbr list!* I’ve categorized them roughly by genre.

*Actually, not really. A half dozen horror stories remain on the list and I added some “literary stories” from a Best Of list to round out that genre. Plus, the list is ever expanding. I’ll probably have enough to read a story/hour during the 24-in-48 readathons by the time those happen.

I like your layout of stories and the types Horror, Sf, Fantasy and Literary.
My short story reading is rather “hit and miss”.
I’ll uses this framework next year …it will keep me organized!
