What is the Deal Me In Short Story Challenge?
Come up with a roster of fifty-two stories (you can use any source) and assign each one to a playing card in a standard deck of cards. It can be fun to use different suits for different types of stories, but that is optional. Each βweek,β you draw a card at random from your deck and that is the story you will read.
Deal Me In was created by Jay @ Bibliophilopolis. The challenge is still on-going, though mostly on Twitter these days. Since I always have short stories to read, I’m always up for the challenge. For 2023, I’m going to read from five different anthologies:

β€οΈ Sherlock Holmes: The Hidden Years, ed. by Michael Kurland
β£οΈ Tower of Birds, trans. by Holly Smith
β¦οΈ Monstrous Affections: An Anthology of Beastly Tales, ed. by Gavin J. Grant & Kelly Link
β οΈ Women and Other Constructs by Carrie Cuinn
π The Best of H. P. Lovecraft: Bloodcurdling Tales of Horror and the Macabre
